December 14, 2006, marks the one-year anniversary of EverythingCody.com. After updating our news and entertainment for 365 straight days we've accumulated so much great content that we've had to redesign the site to hold it all! Today is "moving day" as we launch our new look and new location at a new web hosting company on a new server. The move should occur this afternoon.
It sometimes takes 24-48 hours for a new server address to "re-populate" itself across all the servers on the Internet. This means you may immediately go right to our new site, or it may take a day or two for your server to pick up our new server address. Once we make the move, we'll provide a temporary link here to get you right to the new address.
The new design is much better! We've added a search feature to more easily find the content you need and a better archive system to easily store it. We've added lots more photos to the home page and improved the visual layout to more easily find your favorite sections. We've moved the weather to the top of the page and the "Funny Photo of the Day" right to the home page. Click the photo and it expands to a larger view without opening all 365 other photos at once.
We've also expanded the advertising capabilities of the page so more businesses can share their message with our readers. After a year of updating news and entertainment multiple times each day, we've truly become Cody's daily online newspaper. We're attracting hundreds of readers each day from Cody and throughout the world. Many of them visit us multiple times each day because they've learned we are the best one-stop source for up-to-the-minute Cody, state, region and national news. We're also the best single source to find EVERYTHING related to Cody, Wyoming.
To help our local businesses speak to our readers, we've hired Brenda Jo Cox as our advertising salesperson.
