Mice & Men

The banana had turned brown. So I reached to throw it away. I noticed the end of the peel was opened. Looking closer, I saw small teeth bites in the inner fruit.
You little bastard! Mouse in the house.

I flashed the cat a quick stink eye and retrieved the live trap. I placed the banana in the mouse trap box and staged it in the same location.

Sure enough, the next morning, the little guy was trapped in the box.

All I needed to steal his freedom was the knowledge that he liked that banana. Catching him was like shooting fish in a barrel.

To the evil cabal that runs the world, we’re the mice. They know a hundred times more about our preferences and desires. Imagine how easy it is for them to keep us trapped.

I walked the mouse a couple blocks to the wet area and released him.

I can assure you the cabal isn’t as nice.

Is your brown banana really worth it?
