10AM MST Wednesday: Milton is Cat-4, Winds at 145 mph, 190 miles from Tampa, moving 17 mph. Max storm surge now predicted to reach 23 feet. Winds increasing on Florida coast and rough seas. Multiple tornadoes reported. The eyewall track takes it within a dozen miles of Tampa Bay. This will flood and/or destroy at least 150 miles of the Florida west coast. 6AM MST Wednesday: Milton Cat-4 (only 2 mph under Cat-5) Winds at 155 mph, moving 16 mph. 250 miles SW of Tampa. St. Pete & a dozen beach communities, Tampa, Sarasota, Ft Myers, Pine Island, Sanibel, Cape Coral all in the wind damage and storm surge cone. Naples & Marco Island will be flooded. Expected landfall about 9pm tonight.
