Away From the Things of Man

By Mike Johnson

Remote. Recluse. Retired.

Away from the things of man. I've gone weeks without traveling 25 miles to town. I fancy extending that to months.

When you enjoy your own company, any location is grand.

Solitude enables clarity.

Clarity saves time and effort.

This location may not be your dream. But it was mine. And I made the journey much harder than required.

Why? Lack of clarity.

We live in a world that values action over aspiration. We leap to hammer rather than pause to blueprint.

Eventually, after decades of exhaustion and limited returns, we learn that 90% of our creations are built in our heads.

Away from the things of man.
