Geography Can Save Your Life

The Johnson hobby farm

According to Apartments.com, the average monthly rent in Boston, Massachusetts is $3,444.
The average monthly rent in Pipestone, Minnesota is $517.

WHERE you live determines the difficulty of your financial journey.

It also determines the quality of your life.

Boston has a population of 640,000. (4.9 million in the Boston metropolitan area)
Pipestone has a population of 4,000.

The more people, the more problems.
Traffic. Noise. Lines. Stress.

The more people, the more diversity of values, morals, character and behavior.
Or said more clearly, CRIME.

Boston is a major metropolis.
Pipestone is a farm community.

Farm people are the most humble, hardworking, honest, friendly people in America.
There’s no violent crime in towns like Pipestone.
Farm people make city people look like devils.

People rarely stop and look at the big picture of their life.
They tend to grow where they’re planted, rather than move to a homestead with the best dirt.

There are many ways to live.
The wise stop, research and proactively decide which place is best for them.
Then they rearrange their life to achieve their desire.

If you’ve recently awoken deeply-rooted in a declining big city, your best retirement plan is to find a small town 25-100 miles away.
You’ll gain better neighbors, cheaper expenses and lower stress, yet still have access to the big city benefits you might still enjoy.

If you bring your money with you, you’ll be living large in a small pond.

Which beats the heck out of living small in a large pond.

Especially if that large pond is filled with pollution, turbulence, high expenses and sharks.
